Kilmacanogue village was practically obliterated by the construction of the N11 motorway. Now Wicklow County Council propose the construction of a new roadway which will destroy one of the last remaining traffic free rural amenities in Kilmacanogue.
After a recent meeting with residents at which a major development plan was discussed, an amendment to that plan was made that proposes a road carrying local traffic running from Bray to Kilmacanogue. This road, running parallel to the N11 will run from the Kilarney Road Roundabout through the foothills of the Little Sugarloaf Mountain to the bridge connecting south Kilmacanogue with the Roundwood Road.
Striking through rural and amenity land, this road with devestate the existing countryside, the little left for Bray residents to enjoy, passing through Brennenstown land.
